What I did: I wanted to find out more about Singapore's politics.

What I learnt: Under the guidance of the PAP, Singapore has become what it is today. Although the PAP had dealings with Communism, it is a Socialist Democracy. There is a dominance of government-run companies. Despite that, the government has maintained a clean and incorrupt image. There is the Constitution and the Parliament in the government. Singapore’s active parties, to date, are:

Democratic Progressive Party
National Solidarity Party
People’s Action Party
People’s Liberal Democratic Party
Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Melayu Singapura
Reform Party
Singapore Democratic Alliance
Singapore Democratic Pary
Singapore Justice Party
Singapore People’s Party
Singapore National Front
Workers’ Party

Summary: This article is an introduction to Singapore's politics.
