What I did: I heard that obesity was rising in Singapore and found an article about it.

What I learnt: More people in Singapore are getting obese.
Getting obese increases the chances of getting chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer. Asians are more likely to get chronic diseases at a lower BMI compared to others.

Summary: Obesity is a problem worldwide and in Singapore.More people in Singapore have been getting obese. In 2010, 11 per cent of Singaporean adults aged between 18 and 69 were obese, up from 7 percent in 2004.The main causes of obesity are technology and cheap food, which makes people more inactive, burning lesser calories than the calories taken in will cause obesity.
